Sixth form drama production makes us flinch and think

School drama can be sameish and anodyne: no such accusation can be levelled at Osama the Hero, the sixth form production that ran this week.  A really bold choice by Steve Gardner – courageously and skilfully executed too. Kelly’s text takes us into areas, grisly and murky, of the human psyche. Watching it happen is uncomfortable – properly draining.  Congratulations to Steve, his cast and his crew on bringing such a demanding text into such strong life – and on making us flinch and think.
