Four years ago, the US Election generated a huge amount of interest at Bedales – posters, requests to watch the results unfold throughout the night and a palpable sense of excited anticipation. This time it is different, but listening just now to the Obama acceptance speech, I hope that there will be a final flurry of interest – in the fact of Obama’s re-election and through an awareness that the direction he sets for the USA on global warming and other areas which will affect our lives. However, for the time being, hoorah!
